Background
Born 1998 in Lagos, Nigeria. First born, i have one younger brother.
Met my husband in 2011 in high school but didn't speak to him until 2013. We officially started dating in 2014 after graduating high school.
A Christ-like (not even close to perfect)
Got married in 2021, had our daughter in 2022.
Relocated to Edinburgh December of 2022 for my husband's tech job.
Loving Edinburgh ever since.
An extrovert & introvert depending on when and where you find me.
MY WHY (the beginning)
I read somewhere when i was 16 that "if you want to experience true happiness in life, you should be of service to others" very happy to tell you that was not a lie
My love for documentary style of photography started in when i got my first android camera phone in 2014
My love for birth stories started in 2014 (i was an apprentice at a salon, and 9 out of 10 times my boss and 2 of her friends will talk about their birth experiences, they had 8 kids all together. One thing that was constant was the genuine smiles and laughter they had on their faces , it made me realize birth wasn't something i should fear).
My interest in birth photography started in 2021 when i stumbled on a birth photo online, i was 5 weeks pregnant and birth photography wasn't heard of in Nigeria.
My passion to be a birth photographer started in 2022, immediately after the birth of my baby when i realise, i would never have that moment to look back to. That the moment my life changed was gone because my brain could not remember the details thanks to hormones.
MY WHY (now)
Imagine the joy and happiness in my heart when i say i'm a birth photographer, Like i could actually be of service to parents on one of the most important days of their lives, while doing what i love!!!! show me anything more fulfilling I'll wait...
I get to look myself in mirror and honestly say to myself that I LOVE MY JOB, I get to come home to my daughter and tell her how amazingly beautiful birth is.
I do this for moms like me, whose life changing and first moments with their newborns have now become a blur. My job is to help you capture and preserve that moment. I believe pictures and memories don't have to be perfect, they just have to be important to us in some way. I am beyond honoured that you want me in your birth space to capture moments that are precious to you.
