One of the beauties of BIRTH is that there is no "do over" each child comes with a unique birth experience and the moments just seem to pass by very quickly after the birth that there is almost not time to properly process the birth of you (as a parent) and the birth of your baby.
If birth photography is not your vibe, but you want those sweet, precious details of your newborn in the early hours of their arrival, when you're all they know and adore, just before they start to look more like the other parent (it happened to me), just before you have to beg them not to grow so fast (they're very good at that), just before you get caught up in the journey of parenting and start to wonder where all the time has gone then FRESH48 is just what you need.
My job is to help you freeze those moments before and after the birth,
- so that your partner/support person can be fully in the moment supporting you and not fumbling with a camera.
- so that you can relax, focus and channel your energy for this great moment knowing that details of this day will never have to fade from your memory because it is being documented for you and your baby to see in the future.
- so that you can accurately tell and show the story of that life changing moment.

I chose this job when i kept wishing i could go back in time (2022) to document the birth of my daughter. It was the beginning of my life but i didn't realise until too late how much photos of that day could have helped my heart. Weeks and months after her birth i realised i didn't have a single photo of me and her (that was not a selfie), i took photos of everyone holding her but i don't remember anyone taking photos of just me and her, and don't even get me started on the details of the birth itself, it's all a messed up puzzle in my head. I wish i had photos or even a video of that day just like i did of my wedding day (which i can honestly say was not as important as the day i gave birth to my daughter).
So i hope you understand where my love for my job comes from. I help you freeze that very important day that words can't fully describe, i help you capture the miracle, the beauty, and power in the birth of you and your baby, i help you document that moment that your life changed forever.
I serve Edinburgh City and the Lothian areas of Scotland, documenting ALL births & FRESH BABIES in the Hospital, Birth centres, and Home (IF HOME BIRTH). I WELCOME ALL FAMILIES AND BIRTH STORIES.

What i'm trying to say is
I want to capture you and family being madly in love with this baby that you have already loved before you even met them, looking at them like they're the best thing you've ever set your eyes on. I want to freeze the look you all had on your faces when you saw your baby, the tears (i know you'll cry), the laughs, and those moments you close your eyes as you kiss them and wonder how you could love someone so much your heart could burst.... ok i'll stop now.
